[GIT,PULL] MMC for v.3.17

Hi Linus,

Me and Chris Ball decided to try out using my MMC tree as the primary
one, to simplify handling of patches.

This PR does thus contains all the MMC patches for 3.17 rc1, no PR
from Chris this time. Please pull them in.

Some more details in the signed tag.
