Ah yes, my bad. I was on auto-pilot, since that's what I usually find myself asking for. W.R.T. the USB Ack, Johan (now CC'ed) has been pretty helpful in the past.

Is the protocol documented somewhere? Making the code and header more self-contained would be good, but you could also provide a link to the documentation.
